Here are the pics from the birthday party. Austin had a ton of fun. We had a great turnout. Every year I have this fear that nobosy is going to come, like everyone forgets we exist or something. Silly, I know. So anyway, I've had so muh going on that I didn't plan some elaborate celebration. Friday on the way home from the circus I finally decided that it might be a good time to think about a cake and treat bags. So, I go to Sam's and bought cupcakes just in case my hairbrain idea didn't work out. Then I went to Louises in Hoover to get the stuff to make a cake. I wanted to make a sheet cake that looked like a lane with a real ball on the top. So I come home, start baking. It was one catastrophe after another. The thing looked like a head of lettuce on a flag I thought. My mom and Terry came over to assure me it looked good but I didn't think so. Anyway, we went to Old Navy and Austin picked out his own outfit for his party. I think he did pretty good. The only think I vetoed was the crab swim trucks... didn't really think they fit the theme. So, anyway, we finally make it to the party without the ball rolling off the cake (Thanks Jewels!) and I got to relax a bit. Monar (my grandmother) bowled a game or 2 and actually beat my brother and Leigh Anne. My other grandmother actually was a league bowler. She was awesome too. I remember going to this dump of a bowling alley in Jackson with her and my pawpaw when we were little. So, I guess with 2 good bowling grandmothers, its only obvious that Austin would be a great bowler too. Thanks everyone for coming and for the great gifts too. Austin loves them.
