4th of July | Part Two

My mom was staying at my Uncle James' house on Smith Lake just around the bend so she came to get us from the resort where we were staying in the pontoon and took us to Rock Creek Marina for the kids to feed the carp. Those things are wicked crazy. Have you ever seen them? The guy said they have been there lke 40 years or something crazy like that. All the kids got their turn driving the boat having a big ole time. After we got back to his house, we went swimming for a while them got ready to get back in the boat to go to the firework show. It was so much fun. Riding along in the dark, under the moonlight, yeah that was right up until we got to the show. Imagine 500 boats in a very small area most with drivers who had probably been drinking since 10:00a.m. if we are lucky. I was scared to death getting out of there. We made it back just fine though. I was so glad to get on solid ground again.
