The first day of Kindergarten

Austin was so excited to start school today. I was... not so much. I was ok until I really started thinking about it. Last night we were in Winn Dixie and I got upset because Austin wanted bananas and there wasn't going to be anyone to peel it for him. This morning he woke up with a great attitude, ready to go. We headed off. I made it about oh, to the end of the driveway and I lost it. I cried the whole 3/4 mile there and tried to get it together to walk in. Mrs. Black said, "How are we this morning?" I said "He's great. Me, not so much." He went to his seat and never even acknowledge me again. Mrs. Black said that I could come in and I said no and walked away. I took about 5 steps and came back and stuck my head in the door and said "Be Buddy. Have a great day!" and he smiled, waved and winked at me. I knew he was going to be alright! I boo-hooed all the way to the office then got it together. Here's to praying tomorrow goes a little smoother for me.

Heading out

The prehistoric school from 1/2 mile away as I wait in the car rider line. Austin was so excited to be a car rider today. I hope my work schedule works out that I can still keep picking him up in the afternoons.
