My daughter in laws mother, a.k.a. Melly, my bestest non-sibling bud, invited us to go to the Splash Pad in Gardendale. Free entertainment doesn't get much better than this. They have a neato little area for the rugrats to play and stay cool and the popsicle man comes by every 2 hours just in case you aren't cool enough.
