Southern Savers Take 2
I know, I know... this blog is getting more and more boring by the day! Just humor me here...
I just did my weekly shopping. While I didn't do as well as I would have liked, I still got some really great deals. This is what all I got if you can't see well from the picture.
2 boxes Toasters Strudel
2 TGI Fridays Appetizers
Tennessee Pride Gravy Mix
4 boxes of cereal (Yes, I love Lucky Charms!)
2 boxes Old El Paso Taco Dinners
Lenders Bagels
Philadelphia Cream Cheese
4 Packages Instant Potatoes
Shedd's Spread Country Crock
Duncan Hines Fudge Brownie Mix
Chex MIx Bars
1/2 Gallon Milk
Loaf of Sandwich bread
2 50 oz. bottles of Tide
4.25 lbs Ground Chuck
1.50 lbs Bananas
1.45 lbs seedless grapes
The items in italics came from Food World. They really messed my average up but I had to do it. The total retail cost would have been $101.71. I ended up spending $34.05 plus tax for a total out of pocket expense of $37.72. That is a savings of 63%! Not too impressive in comparison to others but I'll take it!

I'm going to come to your house to eat!! I have tried the Southern Savers, but you know me I live so far out I only go grocery shopping like once every 2 months. I do clip the heck out of coupons & last time I shopped I saved $56 just with coupons & in store savings. I need to try your method!
