Can't stop laughing!

I know that some of you won't "get" this, but I can't stop laughing. My mom called today and asked me to meet her at CVS to show her how to work a few deals. I had an hour to kill so I obliged. I run out and the battery in my car is deader than a doornail. Ugh! I called my mom and she comes and jumped it off. We went to CVS and she got a buggy full of stuff for twenty something dollars. A pretty stellar deal. So I came back home and still fearful that my battery was going to die again since I didn't give it long to charge, I ask Damon if we can run to Walgreen's after he gets in from work so I can pick up a few things. I had my "plan" pretty mapped out. I don't know why I let my nerves get the best of me when I do this, but I do. Anyway, we got into Walgreen's, I do my 3 transactions and am a bit bummed because my OOP was more than I thought it should have been. In looking at my ticket, I notice that I bought 2 things (the wrong size) and that was an extra $12.00 that was not on sale that I was really only buying because it was supposed to be free. So, because I needed to return those 2 items plus buy more of one item that I had previously bought out at my local store, we headed off to the next closest Walgreen's after stopping to get a bite to eat. So, we go there, I had previously spent $23.00 and I returned and got back $17.40. I had spent $5.60 out of pocket at this point. Because I'm a freak and Damon is so awesome, he did the transaction there for me. I don't know who I thought I was fooling... they knew it was me! Who else returns an air freshener than has 8 on 1 ticket and coincidentally a handsome fella comes in at the same time and buys 8 more? Who were we kidding, right? So, anyway, I'm standing there and see his total is $14.95. Ok, I'm still sitting here laughing! That couldn't be right. His total should have been like $4.00. So, we get to the car and I look at his ticket. WHAT? Something else rang up wrong. They charged us $14.99 for something that should have been $7.50 (and $1.50 after his $6.00 coupon). So, we are riding home. I'm bummed and he can tell I'm just dying. It's like defeat when you pay more than you have to. All you couponers will understand-- at least I hope so! So, he offers (We had to take a Redbox movie back anyways!) after seeing my pouty lip hanging out in the floorboard to go BACK to the first Walgreen's and return that incorrectly priced item. So, he had originally paid $14.95 OOP and they gave him back $9.80. So, it's been a fun night. Fun being a relative term of course. We haven't stopped laughing in hours. Yes, we left the house around 6:20 and made it home around 9:00. After all that, we got all this for a net out of pocket of $6.03 (before tax). The total retail of these items was $186.30 before tax. That's a savings of 97%! Did we need all this, ummm, no. I really only did it because I could. If you think about it, I would have paid $6.00 on 2 bottles of shampoo so all the rest of this stuff is really free! I still can't believe I have 16 air fresheners in my living room floor right now. I don't know if I have that many plugs in my house. Anyone who makes fun of me for doing this is getting yes, you guessed it, an air freshener for Christmas! Oh, and get this, when I was sitting all this out for the picture, the toothpaste that Austin was dying for (It was BOGO so I let him have it) turns out to be toddler kind and fluoride free sooooooo... I'm I'm feeling froggy tomorrow, I might just return it for the $3.79 I paid for it and end up negative for over 100% savings on my transactions!
