We put our tree up Saturday after Thanksgiving. Something about getting out all the ornaments I've collected over the last 10 years made me sad so I decided that I was going to leave off all the "personal" ornaments so I didn't even have to look at them. So, what happens now? We have a tree that looks something a bit like the 4th of July. It looks almost like fireworks coming out of it, but I love it. It is very different than any tree we've had in the past so I think that is a good thing. Different is good these days. I am going to go shopping the day after Christmas and get a new tree to have 1 personal tree and 1 pretty tree next year. Hopefully by then, I'll feel like going through all the ornaments.
