We had this great idea to be Mario, Luigi & Princess Peach for Halloween. It was easy for the boys. Go to Walmart, pay $20 each and get 2 costumes. Well, Princess Peach, not so much. Couldn't find one anywhere. So, being the resourceful chick I am, I called in the troops. My sisters bridesmaids dresses (from 10 years ago no less) were the perfect shape and color for the skirt. I called my mom and she still had my dress from her wedding and came surprisingly close to fitting. So, we needed more fabric to make the top since our dresses were halter style and I needed a full top for authenticity. I called my dad and step mom. They still had my little sisters dress. Ok, I have to say something... I am super thankful that y'all apparently don't get rid of anything because it really worked to my advantage this time, but really... 2 different families hanging on to dresses for 10 years? Anyway, my mom and I worked on my costume for probably 10 hours but it turned out perfectly.
