I promised Austin we could have popcorn and a movie in bed on a school night if he got all his bubble gum words finished this week. What are bubble gum words you might ask? He has a 11 lists of words that he needed to know going into kindergarten. He got lists 1-9 done pretty quickly but we got lazy on 10 and 11. We have ball so much that I didn't make him practice them like I should have and it was taking longer than it needed to. So, this weekend, I made him practice those two lists with me 57 times until he knew them frontwards and backwards. He still kept getting confused on a few words every now and then. I told him that if he could test on them Monday and get them both correctly that we would have popcorn and a movie in bed last night and he did it! I was so proud of him. He also got his DIBELS scores yesterday. He made benchmark on all 3 categories and scored like 70 something on 2 categories that had a benchmark of like 25-30. I'm so proud of him. He's so smart and funny and sweet! We love you little man!
